Pets

This guide is based on community knowledge and may not reflect the latest game updates. Specific values may vary by server and game version.

Pets are companion units that passively boost your hero team’s combat stats. The system rewards consistent investment — pets level up incrementally and their bonuses compound over time. One well-developed high-rarity pet is worth far more than several neglected low-rarity ones.

Each pet is assigned to a specific hero or team slot and provides passive stat bonuses. Higher-rarity pets have a larger stat ceiling and stronger passive abilities. Most players target one or two signature pets for their primary lineup rather than spreading resources broadly.

Pet rarity tiers:

  • Common — accessible early; limited ceiling
  • Rare — meaningful bonuses; achievable target for active players
  • Epic — high impact; requires sustained event and daily activity investment
  • Legendary — maximum tier; long-term goal for committed accounts

Pets are acquired through:

  • Pet summon tokens earned from events and daily activities
  • Pet shards combined into full pets (typically requiring a set number of the same shard)
  • Event shops and limited-time seasonal rewards

Focus on completing one high-rarity pet before diversifying. A fully leveled rare pet outperforms a collection of underleveled ones in every combat situation.

Pets level up by consuming pet food. Different food grades provide different amounts of experience, with higher-grade food being more efficient per item.

  • Lower-grade food works for early levels; higher-grade food or pet essence is needed for advanced levels
  • Food is obtainable through daily activities, event rewards, guild shop, and seasonal content

Do not spend pet food carelessly between events — see the Event Economy section below for why timing matters.

Pets produce their strongest contribution when paired with heroes that match their bonus type. Each pet has affinity leanings — offensive, defensive, or support — that map to hero roles:

  • Assign offensive pets to your primary damage dealers
  • Assign defensive pets to frontline and tanky heroes
  • Match pet faction alignment to hero faction where possible for compounding synergy bonuses

Changing pet assignments is low-cost, so reoptimise as your hero roster evolves. A pet paired with a hero you rarely deploy is wasted capacity.

Pet food is one of the most event-efficient resources in the game during Guild Arms Race:

ActionGAR Points
Consume 100 pet food960 points

This conversion applies in both Stage 5 (Combat Ready) and Stage 6 (Warrior) — pet food is double-dippable across two consecutive GAR stages.

Key strategy: Stockpile pet food between GAR events and consume it in batches during active Stages 5 and 6. You earn the same pet progression you would have anyway, plus nearly 1,000 GAR points per 100 food consumed. Spending pet food outside of GAR windows sacrifices free points.

  1. Lock in a high-rarity pet first — complete one strong pet before spreading shards elsewhere
  2. Time food consumption to GAR — let food accumulate, then spend during Stages 5 or 6
  3. Match pets to deployed heroes — pets assigned to heroes in your active lineup pay dividends in every fight
  4. Upgrade pet skills as you level — passive skills unlock and strengthen at specific level thresholds; check these milestones when planning your leveling schedule
  5. Participate in pet events — seasonal pet events often provide the fastest path to rare pet shards unavailable from daily sources
