Horde Heroes

The Horde is the game’s aggressive, physically-oriented faction. They get the earliest mythic heroes of any faction, giving Horde players strong early momentum and one of the most thoroughly documented hero roadmaps in the community.

Your core Horde legendary team before mythics arrive:

Focus your first few weeks on Wilderness Hunter, Swordsmith, and Shaman. Ascend and skill them — but remember that all three get replaced by mythics starting at day 21, so don’t over-invest.

Horde Mythic

Horde gets the earliest mythic heroes in the game — an advantage over League and a significant one over Nature.

By day 41, your entire core legendary trio has been replaced. This is the intended progression — use those legendaries efficiently in weeks 1–6, then transition cleanly to mythics.

WandererNew mythic; only one of the three remaining legendaries stays
BeastmasterNew mythic; further compresses the legacy legendary presence

When Wanderer and Beastmaster both arrive, only one of your original three legendary heroes will typically remain in the lineup at all. The transition is complete.

Not every hero is part of the core lineup, but a few have specific high-value uses:

Barbarian — Don’t dismiss this hero. Against Nature opponents in PvP (KvK, Glory Battlefield), Barbarian’s faction-specific bonuses are real. Worth keeping ready if your server has strong Nature guilds.

Soulhunter — Excels specifically in PvP matchups against League and Horde opponents. A strong pick if your KvK bracket frequently involves those factions.

Warlock — If you participate in PvE content like damage rankings or season boss encounters, Warlock is a consistent high performer. Not a PvP staple, but valuable for guild PvE events.

Awakening consumes significant resources. For Horde, the community recommendation is straightforward: don’t invest awakening in the three core legendaries you’re replacing. They’ll be benched by the time awakening would pay off.

Instead, prioritize awakening for:

  • Barbarian — if you’re running him for Nature matchups
  • Soulhunter — if you’re investing in PvP-focused builds
  • Warlock — if guild PvE events are a priority for your account

Awakened legendaries remain relevant for content that specifically advantages legendary-class heroes, even after mythics dominate your main lineup.

Your typical Horde endgame lineup post-Season 2:

  1. Desert Prince
  2. Storm Maiden
  3. Witch
  4. Wanderer or Beastmaster
  5. Situational pick (Barbarian vs Nature / Soulhunter for PvP)

The fifth slot is genuinely flexible and should respond to the content type or opponent faction you’re facing that week. Build depth here rather than trying to lock in a permanent fifth.
