Nature Heroes

Nature is the patient faction. You’ll run legendaries longer than either Horde or League — mythics don’t arrive until Season 1 at day 53. That’s not a disadvantage; it means you build a stronger legendary foundation and hit Season 1 content with a more developed account. When Monk and Tidecaller finally land, they hit hard.

Your core Nature legendary team during the pre-season phase:

Nature Legendary

HeroRoleNotes
ForestCore legendaryFirst awakening priority
TreantCore legendarySecond awakening priority
WindmasterMid-game carryReplaced by Petalis in Season 3
NightbladeMid-game DPSReplaced by Petalis in Season 3
DruidSupportExclusive gear priority (to +10 first, if Zira is available)
ZiraSupportUnlocks Druid exclusive gear priority
OboroPre-Season placeholderReplaced by Tidecaller in Season 1

Nature players have the longest legendary phase — invest in your team with confidence. You’ll use these heroes through pre-season and into Season 1 content.

Nature Mythic

Nature gets only two mythic heroes in pre-season (unlike Horde’s three). The main wave arrives at Season 1.

TidecallerOboroStrong Season 1 carry
Altar MarshalCompletes the Season 1 mythic trio

Season 1 is where Nature comes into its own. These three mythics form a powerful core for the World Tree season content.

HeroReplacesNotes
PetalisWindmaster and NightbladeSingle mythic that replaces two legendaries

Petalis is notable because it replaces two heroes at once — Windmaster and Nightblade both get benched when Petalis arrives. This means those two legendaries have a defined shelf life; don’t over-invest in them relative to Forest and Treant.

Nature’s awakening order is clearly established by the community:

  1. Forest — first priority, no debate
  2. Treant — second priority

Both Forest and Treant remain relevant in endgame content. They retain value alongside your mythic lineup in a way that Windmaster and Nightblade don’t — those two are heading for retirement in Season 3 when Petalis arrives.

Don’t awaken Oboro — Oboro is replaced by Tidecaller at the start of Season 1.

Don’t awaken Windmaster or Nightblade — both get replaced by Petalis in Season 3.

Nature has a specific exclusive gear optimization that’s worth knowing:

Priority: Upgrade Druid’s exclusive gear to +10 first — but only if you have Zira available.

Zira’s availability unlocks additional scaling for Druid’s exclusive gear, making it the highest-priority investment. If Zira isn’t in your roster yet, hold off on the Druid exclusive gear grind until she is.

Nature’s pre-Season 1 lineup:

  1. Forest
  2. Treant
  3. Windmaster
  4. Nightblade
  5. Druid or situational

Nature’s Season 1+ lineup:

  1. Monk
  2. Tidecaller
  3. Altar Marshal
  4. Forest (awakened)
  5. Treant (awakened) or Druid

Forest and Treant stick around even after mythics arrive — that’s the Nature pattern. Unlike Horde (where legendaries get cleanly replaced) or League (which has a mix), Nature’s awakened core legendaries coexist with their mythic roster.

Nature’s slower mythic unlock schedule is genuinely fine. Use the pre-season to:

  • Build a strong legendary team with properly leveled skills
  • Prioritize Forest and Treant awakening early
  • Level Druid’s exclusive gear if Zira is available
  • Stockpile summon resources for the Season 1 mythic releases

When Season 1 arrives, Nature players with strong pre-season accounts are well-positioned. The faction rewards patience.
